When financing is part of the solution, Holmes Advisory helps clients assess capital structure, lender expectations, financing alternatives and potential capital providers.
We can turn to our broader network, including our affiliate Holmes Financial, for market knowledge and introductions to lenders, sponsors and investors when relevant to the engagement.
For example, Holmes Advisory recently facilitated a $20 million real estate bridge loan on behalf of a terminalling business.
We help evaluate the purpose of the financing, the existing capital structure and the company’s ability to support different alternatives. The goal is to clarify what the business needs and what a potential capital provider will need to understand.
Our team includes professionals who have led lending organizations, underwritten credit, arranged syndicated financing and managed troubled loans. That experience informs how we assess a financing request, prepare for discussions and help clients evaluate proposed terms.
Depending on the assignment, Holmes Advisory helps clients identify and engage potential capital providers, including commercial banks, private credit and specialty finance firms. Support can include preparing financial information, evaluating structures and coordinating the financing process. For example, Holmes Advisory recently facilitated a $20 million real estate bridge loan on behalf of a terminalling business.
Capital advisory can support acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth, working capital needs and restructurings. It can also help a company assess whether its current financing arrangements still fit its needs and which alternatives may be appropriate.
No. Holmes Advisory does not make loans. We provide capital insight and access, helping clients evaluate financing needs and engage lenders and other capital providers, including through our affiliation with Holmes Financial.
Holmes Financial, LLC (“Holmes Financial”) holds a majority ownership interest in Holmes Financial Advisory Services, LLC ("Holmes Advisory"), but the two entities are operated independently, and each maintains separate client accounts. A client relationship with either Holmes Advisory or Holmes Financial does not imply a relationship with the other. A client of Holmes Advisory will pay advisory fees directly to Holmes Advisory pursuant to an engagement agreement; Holmes Financial will receive no referral fee or revenue share in connection with any Holmes Advisory engagement (except indirectly due to its ownership interest in Holmes Advisory). Similarly, Holmes Advisory will not participate in fees or revenue generated by Holmes Financial. Clients of either entity are under no obligation to engage the other.
